A medical director you can trust
Our medical director, Dr Ana BSc(Hons), MBBS, MSc SEM, MRCGP, is a GP and musculoskeletal doctor. He has been described as ‘possibly one of the foremost experts in primary care musculoskeletal medicine in the UK’ (Urgent Care National Conference, 2024), with a particular interest in spines, knees and shoulders. He has been a doctor for 17 years and a GP for 10 years.
He previously studied genetics at the University of Leicester, before going on to study medicine at St George’s, London. His foundation hospital training was in the Oxford Deanery, before he completed a Masters in Sports Medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London. He subsequently attained his membership of the Royal College of GPs in the East Midlands Deanery in 2015.
Acutely, he works in NHS urgent care in London and Milton Keynes; sub-acutely he has vast experience in musculoskeletal clinics, including work with the British military as a regional rehabilitation unit doctor; and regarding chronic care, he works as a traditional GP.
His excellence in medicine has been recognised and rewarded — he is a senior musculoskeletal national core skills trainer for Arthritis UK, the largest arthritis charity in the UK. He has also been privileged to work as a sports medicine doctor in Australia and Scotland as part of the Commonwealth Games, Wimbledon tennis and the London Marathon. His previous roles also include National Physical Activity Clinical Champion for Public Health England.
He is proficient in peripheral steroid joint injections and creating exercise treatment plans, and is honing his ultrasound skills as part of his repertoire. His publications range from diagnosing acromegaly in primary care to physical activity optimisation in general practice. Excellence and continuous professional development are key, so Dr Ana emphasises the need for his team to teach other doctors within our clinics — this attention to detail ensures Meticulous Medical Clinics are run to the highest standards. Teaching is in our DNA — this makes Meticulous Medical Clinics unique. We run private clinics but we are unique in encouraging teaching during our procedures and specialist clinics, similar to some of the best teaching hospitals in London. Evidence shows that medical units that research and teach yield the best outcomes for their patients, so our team has adopted this approach across all aspects of our care, ensuring our patients get the best care possible with a touch of ‘excellence’.

Our clinics are set in tranquil, rolling Bedfordshire countryside on the outskirts of historic Turvey village. Ample onsite parking and in house executive accommodation is available for patients or visiting specialists travelling further a field
(subject to availability — just ask reception). Our staff are friendly, our clinics modern and comfortable. Good medicine should not just make you better, but make you feel better — we aim to do both.
